I hope you get to do something you love today. Trust me, it makes a difference. On the mornings when I don’t get to read, write or draw, I feel pretty miserable when the day goes sideways. Bad news can creep in. But on the days you begin with taking care of yourself, it feels like even the worst days aren’t so bad. It’s doable. And on those really bad days, you just know that this day will be over and tomorrow is another day to begin again anew. Also… try to practice integrity, kindness, and not be a sociopath. Just saying. 😂

My wife’s step dad passed away suddenly last week. He really went doing what he loved. It was the first morning of deer season, one of his favorite days. Apparently he had gotten his first deer early in the morning. He was in the process of tying the tag on when he suddenly passed. Most likely a heart attack. It came as quite the shock to the family. In Southwestern Pennsylvania these old blue collar dudes are as tough as they make em. You grow up thinking they’re going to live forever. At the service there were a lot of nice words. Everyone saying quietly “at least he went out doing what he loved.” And I hope we all are so lucky. The Minister closed the service by talking about how our lives are like us writing a story, but when we pass, our story doesn’t have to pass too. You simply pass the pen on to the next people to continue the story. And that’s how guys like Bill Rogers REALLY do live forever. It was a pleasure to have know him.
